Utilising NFC Technology to simplify contact tracing in New Zealand
SUMMARY
Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, C-Tap stickers increase contact tracing by simplifying and speeding up the process of signing in.
OUTCOME
The simplicity of ‘Tap and Go’ sign in is proven to incentivise 25% higher sign-in rates while significantly reducing entry queues into stores. Increased contact tracing is key to keeping our businesses open and communities safe. Researched, trialed and validated with proof of concept testing and data analysis. Successfully trialed over 2 months at Victoria University, Te Herenga with high success rates, NFC is a highly recommended tool for increasing contact tracing rates.
